day two hundred and eighteen | 2011

Tonight took the train to Etihad Stadium to see the Swans vs Bombers game… we had a fantastic night (despite being completely outnumbered and surrounded by about a million Bombers supporters!)… right up until the final kick of the night –

We were just two points down and our dual-medalist, team captain, Adam Goodes, took a fantastic mark directly in front of goal… the siren sounded… this was the kick that could win us the game, and who better to have it in his hands than Goodes… he lined it up and kicked… it was a big kick, heading directly for goal… then it started to float to the left… and it then a bit more left… and then it went through the posts… for a behind… and we lose… by just one point! The crowd went wild around us as we sat in silence… better luck next time Swannies!
